Zhili has decades of experience supplying the metallurgical industry with premium heat-resistant alloys, wear-resistant castings, and precision-machined components for blast furnaces, converters, electric arc furnaces, ladle furnaces, and slag processing systems.
Metallurgical smelting processes operate at some of the highest temperatures in industry — from blast furnace tap temperatures of 1,400-1,600°C to converter steelmaking at 1,650°C. Wear parts in this environment face the unique triple challenge of extreme heat, aggressive chemical environments (slag chemistry), and severe mechanical wear from molten metal and slag handling. No other industry demands so much from wear-resistant materials.
Zhili has decades of experience supplying the metallurgical industry with premium heat-resistant alloys, wear-resistant castings, and precision-machined components for blast furnaces, converters, electric arc furnaces, ladle furnaces, and slag processing systems. Our materials are proven in the most demanding steelmaking environments, from basic oxygen steelmaking to stainless steel production and non-ferrous metallurgy.
Rotary kiln tyres, riding rings, support rollers, and kiln shell components for ferroalloy and nickel pig iron production. Precision cast and machined for perfect fit and thermal expansion clearance.
Kiln chains, lifting chains, and connecting links for heat transfer and material agitation in rotary smelting kilns. Heat-resistant alloy construction with superior creep strength at 800-1,100°C.
HPGR rollers and studded rollers for steel slag and ferroalloy slag granulation and grinding. Designed for high-pressure comminution with excellent thermal shock resistance.
Jaw crusher liners, hammer crushers, and cone crusher liners for hot slag and molten slag processing. High-chromium heat-resistant alloys designed for combined thermal shock and abrasive wear.
Heavy-duty chain links and roller chains for high-temperature material handling in steel plants — from sinter feeding to ladle transfer. Austenitic stainless and heat-resistant alloy options.
Sintering machine pallets, grate plates, and furnace hearth components for iron ore sintering and non-ferrous smelting furnaces. Heat and abrasion resistant alloy construction.
For the most demanding metallurgical environments — blast furnace trough, runner, and launder systems — Zhili uses premium heat-resistant alloys such as ZG35Cr28Ni48 and ZG40Cr25Ni35. These austenitic alloys maintain structural integrity above 1,100°C while resisting the aggressive slag chemistry of basic oxygen steelmaking and electric arc furnace operations.
For slag granulation systems, slag crushers, and hot slag handling equipment, a Cr-Mo-Ni alloy system provides both wear resistance and heat resistance. Zhili's proprietary HT-WR alloy maintains HRC 45-52 at 600°C while providing excellent slag corrosion resistance for steel slag, copper slag, and nickel slag applications.
For non-ferrous metallurgy (aluminum, copper, zinc smelting) and sinter plant components, austenitic stainless alloys provide excellent oxidation resistance and adequate strength at working temperatures up to 1,100°C. These materials are the standard for aluminum reverberatory furnace components and copper matte handling.
For slag granulation centrifuge components, ladle turret rings, and continuous caster rolls, Zhili applies nickel-based and cobalt-based hardfacing overlays using plasma transferred arc (PTA) welding. These overlays provide maximum wear resistance while maintaining bond strength at elevated temperatures.
Molten iron and slag channels at 1,400-1,500°C. Sand casting iron runner blocks are replaced by Zhili's Ni-Cr alloy blocks with superior thermal shock resistance and slag corrosion resistance, doubling or tripling campaign life.
Converter and EAF steel slag at 1,600-1,650°C goes through granulation and grinding. Hot slag crushers, granulation drums, and HPGR rollers all require materials that resist both thermal shock and slag abrasive wear.
Rotary kilns for nickel pig iron (NPI) and ferroalloy production at 1,400-1,500°C. Kiln tires, support rollers, and chain systems all require heat-resistant alloys with excellent creep resistance.
Water-cooled continuous caster rolls operating at 800-1,000°C surface temperature. PTA-overlay or induction-hardened rolls provide wear resistance for the steel strand contact zone.
Copper matte, zinc fuming, and aluminum holding furnaces. Austenitic stainless and Ni-Cr alloys for furnace hearths, launders, and casting wheels operating in aggressive metal vapor and fluoride environments.
Sintering machine pallets, windbox seals, and grate bars processing iron ore fines at 1,300-1,480°C. High-temperature oxidation and thermal fatigue are the primary failure modes.
