Stud surfacing welding rollers built by overlaying tough alloy or carbide studs onto a forged or cast roll base, then machining and inspecting the finished surface. The stud pattern grips the material bed, protects the base metal and gives a wear life far beyond a plain hardened surface.

If you need detailed technical information, drawings or a price for a size we have not listed, please email us at cnwearparts@lyzhili.com — we are a customized factory for crusher and mill wear parts and we quote quickly.

Stud technology for grip and wear life

Smooth rollers slip on the material bed and wear quickly at the edges. Stud surfacing welding creates a textured, hard-working surface that grips the bed, extrudes material more efficiently and shields the base metal underneath, so roller life is extended without sacrificing pressure.

Key features

  • Alloy or carbide studs welded in a controlled pattern on the roll face
  • Stud spacing and height adapted to your material and roller press duty
  • Forged alloy steel or Cr-Mo cast base with verified soundness
  • Bores, keyways and end faces machined to drawing
  • Hardness survey and surface inspection reported before shipment

Service and rebuild

  • New studded rollers manufactured to drawing
  • Rebuild service for worn studded rollers and tyres
  • Edge protection and end-disc repair included where required
  • Guidance on run-in procedure to seat the new surface

Applications

Roller presses and HPGR units in cement raw meal and clinker grinding, iron ore and other mineral comminution, briquetting and slag processing.

Why buyers choose Zhili

  • Surfacing and machining capability for large rollers in one plant
  • Experience of stud patterns for abrasive cement and mining duty
  • Documented quality with hardness and dimensional checks
  • Export packing designed to protect the studded surface

Ordering and support

Send the roll drawing, operating pressure and material data. We will propose the stud pattern, confirm machining scope and delivery, and can quote a rebuild of your existing roller for comparison.

Customized Solutions

Customized according to your operating conditions

High-wear working conditions

For highly abrasive materials such as limestone and sandstone, we adopt high-chromium cast iron or ceramic composite materials, which extend the service life by 3 to 5 times.

High-impact working conditions

For high-impact materials like construction waste and metal ores, we adopt a reinforced structure with high manganese steel and alloy bars, delivering excellent impact resistance.

High-temperature working conditions

For high-temperature materials including cement clinker and slag, special heat treatment is adopted to retain hardness and wear resistance at elevated temperatures.

Send Us Your Requirements

We will fully understand your working conditions and recommend the most appropriate material selection. Provide drawings based on your machine models and spare parts dimensions.
